ArchitectInvasion

A handful of students of architecture from the Institute of Applied Arts of the University of Sopron decided to open a window onto the whole country allowing students of architecture to have a look at the panorama of domestic architects while creating the opportunity for the professional circles of architecture to gain an insight into the operation of the institute. This is how the programme called ArchitectInvasion was launched in 2012. Thanks to the various events, local architects were able to interact with one another and with the university; moreover, the local residents and those interested in architecture/art could also be reached and engage with the contemporary Hungarian architecture scene. Partly as a result of the ArchitectInvasion, the students of architecture studying at Széchenyi István University in Győr built closer links with the students of Sopron and they began to participate in each other’s events.
