The building complex of the Hungarian Academy of Arts comprises two villas – both of which were built in the early 20th century and had several owners and functions in the past – and a new wing in-between them constructed in the 21st century. The building on Andrássy Road houses representational rooms, the club for academics, an events hall, a restaurant as well as the offices and meeting rooms for the board members and the various divisions, while the building on Bajza Street caters to administrative functions and the new, transparent wing has an impressive foyer and exhibition space. The complex’s advanced building engineering and electronic systems utilise renewable energy.
