Municipal Swimming Pool and Sports Academy

The short-term development programme featured a city swimming baths, a swimming pool with removable lane partitions, a learner pool, wellness centre, and a sports academy building comprising ffty room units. The steel cables stretched out on the building’s façade, suitable for training climbing plants, are analogous with grapevines. The cladding on the façade is a gabion wall, made by flling cages afxed to the façade with pieces of white limestone sourced locally in Balatonfüred. Assimilation, hiding, blending in with the surrounding landscape, orientation, views, community, sustainability – these were the maxims of the buildings constructed in this complex programme.
