Sports Centre

The designs for the “Tüskecsarnok” sports centre in Budapest were created in a very special collaboration by Antal Lázár and Péter Magyar. The two architects developed the concept, whereby they intended to symbolise the receiving and radiating of light both physically and symbolically, while working together but nevertheless at a distance of several thousand kilometres from each other. Making use of the communication tools that were available at the time, they sent hundreds of drawing back and forth by fax. The building was fnally completed some twenty years later.
