DVTK (Diósgyőr Sports Club) Stadium

It was the premise of the design that the fnal result should be a transparent stadium exuding openness and built with simple, archetypical elements. The building is composed of the funnel-like grand stand, the butterfly roof over it and three heatable functional units. The open mass created by the ensemble of these parts virtually ‘sucks in’ the people arriving at the building in to proceed to the stand. The visual connection between the people gathering to get in and those who already passed through the entrance is maintained and therefore the crowd can feel the power of belonging together, enhanced by their voice not being obstructed by a closed design.
