Orfű NEST

Location
Orfű

The space that creates a spontaneous sacral experience was realised upon the initiative of the students and lecturers of the University of Pécs by a workshop with the participation of students from all of Hungary’s schools of architecture. The aim was to create a universal sacral situation that is open for all and can be experienced by all. The natural environment is echoed by the materials and the forms of the building, which is suitable for a spiritual retreat. The name of the structure – nest – also alludes to this: it is a sheltering, protecting space or shell created from nature.
