The reconstruction of Kossuth Square involved the complete renovation of this almost 7.5-hectare public space, and the installation of new outdoor functions. The entire surface of the square was reconstructed, and converted into a trafcfree pedestrian zone. A three-storey underground car park and Parliament Visitor Centre were constructed on the north side of the Parliament Building, providing direct subterranean access to the Parliament Building for visitors and staff alike.
