Sports Centre and Music Hall

The Benedictine Secondary School Foundation of Pannonhalma built a basketball hall in the orchard of the Abbey. The three-storey unit divided into two parts slides into the hillside. The larger building includes the playground while the other one being closer to the gymnasium, serves the additional functions. The connection with the high school is provided by a hidden tunnel below the ground level, the external approach is supported by a footbridge starting from the level of the road next to the high school. The building is covered by a walkable green roof, its western facade is window-shaped, with pillars. The new multifunctional concert hall of the gymnasium was built on the site of the former gym. Professional lighting and sound systems, audio-visual systems and digital cinema enrich the possibilities of the music hall.
