The three-storey building, now housing the theatre, was built in 1911 as a boarding school for young ladies. The theatre reconstruction project included the addition of a new wing constructed on the adjoining plot in Szent Mór Street. The old main wing retained its original architectural character and contains the main entrance to the theatre. The lower two storeys were merged to create a spacious foyer with a unique design, which serves the audience of open-air performances too. The administrative entrance and the entrance for actors can be found in the new wing, the contemporary facade of which is architecturally adapted to their function.
