The house was built around the existing plant life, so it ended up with a north and a south-facing terrace, each used in a different season. The building presents a closed frontage to the street, opening up in the direction of the garden. A heat pump and heat-recovery ventilation system, thick cellulose thermal insulation and a passive-house structure have been incorporated into the building. The raw concrete structures, reclaimed brick, anthracite-coloured metal plating aimed to express timeless quality rather than an attempt to ft in with fashionable architectural trends. Its construction was a slow process of craftsmanship.
