Public Administration Faculty Hall of Residence at the National University of Public Service

The new student residence building stands at the main entrance to Orczy Park. Architecturally, it is integrated with the teaching building in terms of its overall mass, while its use of material invokes the less formal, cosier ambience associated with a student hotel. The main design consideration was to strike a balance between a rational design and liveable, roomy spaces, which is why the architects created spaces with a central corridor on the upstairs floors. The common spaces, which are concentrated in one area, provide a place for students from the various different wings to meet as well. The street level parking areas are covered by a gently sloping sunbathing mound facing towards the lake.
