The Buda care home run by the Hungarian Evangelical Church provides a modern and suitably adapted home for ffty injured persons. The two storeys of the H-plan building’s parallel wings each contain 12-13 self-contained personal residential apartments, with a community space serving as a common living area. The two residential wings overlooking the hillside enclose an atrium-like, protected internal garden, and the building is topped with a green roof to improve residents’ comfort. The rationally laid-out building has a puritanical, clean-lined, discerning and contemporary appearance. Its Spartan, blocky silhouette is blended into the surrounding residential district with simple architectural solutions.
