During the reconstruction and enlargement works, the original horse-shoe plan was retained and closed with an additional section, resulting in a perimetric plan. This follows the layout of buildings with a courtyard and fts in with Tokaj’s traditional settlement structure. The original proportions of the openings on the street front and the position of the gate were also retained and their rhythm carried on to the added storey. The main facade is distinguished by its brickwork, while the original limestone from nearby Keresztúr was used in the pedestal. The classical and orderly brick facade was built with re-used stamped bricks and laid in a way to match the overall atmosphere of the street.
