The Airport Hotel Budapest provides visitors arriving by air with their frst impression of the city. The main entrance to the building is perpendicular to the axis of the car park. The main mass of the building is U-shaped, and linked to the terminal forecourt with a bridge that is shaped like aircraft wings. The facades are gently curved, turning in markedly at the ends, creating a cylindrical shape. The slanted divisions of the cladding join up the windows, further accentuating the form. The straight and tilted windows are modelled on the blades of an aircraft engine.
