Office building

The corner plot is situated in the old town, opposite the place where fve dry mills once stood. The old small brick and tileroofed buildings are still there, and two plots on the corner had a brick fence. The concept of the office building plan was based on the atmosphere created by the fence and brick. The town is made up of layers: cultural, architectural and material. The designer wanted to reflect this existing stratifcation by adding yet another layer to it. The bricks from the demolished old building were reused in the project. Each brick was necessary, and not a single extra piece was needed. The material lives on in its original location.
