Telekom Headquarters

Hungary’s largest and one of its most modern office blocks provides a workplace for 4,500 or so employees. Besides its functions of being the central offices and a workplace, an important focus during the planning process was to design a people-centric environment that is also a communal space providing community-centred experiences. The 22-metre-high bundle of pillars at the entrance links the public urban space with the building with a bold architectural gesture, while also lending the design airiness and openness. The building’s facade is a homogenous monolithic structure distinguished by the vertical lamellae and lent a unique appearance by the dynamic fssures and etched surfaces. The main considerations in the interior design were transparency, light conditions, optimal airing and acoustics.
