Lead architect
ANDRÁS GELESZ
Year of inauguration
2014
Location
Budapest

The platform level of the station built with the ’Milanese method’ is about twenty metres below the ground level. It can be accessed from two directions by escalators and lifts. It is distinguished by a vast, uninterrupted interior bounded with exposed concrete monolithic surfaces and slanting, longitudinal reinforced concrete walls. In the areas used by the public the exposed concrete has a bright concrete glaze fnish and colour lighting. Functioning as a skylight, the superstructure provides natural light even at the platform level.
