Reconstruction of the National Riding Hall

Programme and concept

Year of inauguration
2018
Location
Budapest

The reconstruction of the National Riding Hall extended not only to the renovation of the exterior but also to the modernisation of the facility’s functions. The closure walls of the courtyard directly connected to the main entrance on Kerepesi Road are given a representative function and the ‘white collar’ functions – such as the knowledge centre as well as the spaces used by the office staff, the spectators and the visitors – are organised around this. The middle section – located to the south and east of the ‘Kóbli’ (the historical main wing of the facility, now a listed monument) and the larger covered hall – is primarily allocated to the horses and the riders, while the area at the back is used by operation and maintenance.
