Insula Lutherana Complex, Evangelical Nursery School

The In­su­la Lu­the­ra­na buil­ding comp­lex owned by the Evan­ge­li­cal Faith Com­mu­nity of Győr if highly unu­su­al – by Euro­pe­an stan­dards – in that it con­ta­ins all of the ins­ti­tu­tions as­so­ci­a­ted with the life of the faith com­mu­nity. The re­no­va­ti­on of this pro­tec­ted en­semb­le of buil­dings was per­for­med with govern­ment aid, on the basis of a con­cep­tu­al plan draw up for the whole block. As the frst stage in this, the new nur­sery scho­ol buil­ding was con­struc­ted on a su­i­tab­le vac­ant lot, trans­form­ing the affected sec­ti­on of the de­ve­lop­ment into a clos­ed row. The ex­ten­si­on is alig­ned with the geo­met­ric cha­rac­te­r­is­tics of the site, mak­ing use of the op­por­tuni­ti­es in­he­rent in it.
