Reconstruction of the Hild Villa

Budapest

The original state of the villa, which stands in the Buda hills, is no longer possible due to the multiple conversions and extensions of the past. For this reason, the designers opted to plan the villa’s rebirth in accordance with the “rules of the game” of neoclassical architecture. In other words, they would create a pure neoclassical building, by dismantling and building. In The demolition work only went as far as the original walls, and in their building they took a restrained contemporary approach. The prominent elements of the concept are symmetry, transparency, and a cool tranquillity.
