This two-hundred-seater church stands in a wooded, rural setting. The gate structure opening onto the street shows the direction of approach, and there is a multi-purpose assembly area in front of the church. The nave section is understated but surges dynamically upwards, forming a harmonious composition with the tower carrying the bells and crucifx, which faces towards the centre of the village. The building has a “carved from a single block” appearance, and evokes the house archetype, with every detail made by local builders, artisans and craftspeople. The natural materials also lend the church consistency; the key elements in the overall composition are the light, the materials and the forest.
