The seemingly spontaneously laid beams at the Szent Gellért Square and Fővám Square metro stations are designed to follow a strict structural pattern: their direction, dimensions and position are dictated by the play of power. The dynamism they create later unexpectedly assumed an autonomous architectural meaning, expressing the bustle of urban living, transport and travelling, all these embodied in a virtual urban tissue composed of hectically crossing beams of various thicknesses and defning the lines of different levels on an interior, symbolic city map, where travellers may be wandering, get lost and be found.
