The Boiling Point House of Energy is a knowledge centre representing environmentally conscious and energy-efcient building in the spirit of sustainability. It provides a venue for exhibitions, conferences and other events primarily seeking to promote and raise the profle of environmentally friendly architecture. Thanks to the site-specifc structural and architectural solutions as well as its insulating shell structure, the building can be adapted – extended and retracted – to the changing weather and external temperatures, thus optimising the climatic condition of the interior. The shell structure can be moved to minimise heat loss, while the building exploits solar energy to the maximum degree. Heat pumps and geothermic energy are used for the heating and cooling.
